The Beijing Winter Olympics is the first global comprehensive sporting event to be held as scheduled since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. Hybribio protect your health in the winter Olympics

Beijing Hybribio Medical Laboratory was approved as one of the nucleic acid testing companies for the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games before the opening ceremony, and after a stringent selection process, took on the task of nucleic acid testing in the Changping and Shunyi districts of the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games. The laboratory worked closely with the Olympic Organizing Committee's nucleic acid testing team to provide excellent epidemic prevention and control services for the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games, embracing the Winter Olympic Games with high-quality, efficient, and warm testing services, ensuring the safety and health of Olympic-related personnel and local residents.

Hybribio Group's senior management team planned ahead of time and made scientific deployments, dispatched staff members with rich experience in epidemic prevention, and deployed a significant quantity of testing equipment and instruments to Beijing in order to ensure effective epidemic prevention.

Hybribio's Olympic-related nucleic acid security team, led by Dr. Guan Zhenpo of Hybribio Beijing Medical Laboratory, has produced a set of flawless epidemic prevention and testing plans for various scenarios through discussions, scenario simulations, and field drills. After several training sessions, Hybribio has formed an exceptional epidemic prevention team with high professionalism, quick response times, and excellent service quality, which has significantly improved epidemic monitoring, early warning, and emergency response capabilities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for Olympic-related personnel.

During the event, Hybribio's Olympic-related nucleic acid security team conducted daily nucleic acid tests on Olympic-related volunteers, attendees, service personnel, and the surrounding environment, as per the arrangement and requirements of the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, with the daily testing volume reaching up to 5000 tubes. This major testing task lasted for 74 days until the end of the Winter Paralympic Games. 

Efficient testing and effective protection

The world was impressed and moved by the modest, romantic, innocent, and beautiful opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, which presented old and lovely China to the global audiences. The unwavering efforts of Hybribio's epidemic prevention warriors who responded swiftly and tested efficiently, and their great sense of responsibility in defending the healthy Winter Olympics, were behind the magnificent opening ceremony.

More than 30 professional medical personnel from Hybribio Group have been dispatched to the Winter Olympic Games' closed-loop management area to provide convenient sampling services for important guests of the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as Winter Olympic volunteers at centralized sites and contracted hotels. 

According to Dr. Guan Zhenpo, "The large volume of testing tasks for the Winter Olympics' opening and closing ceremonies necessitates a rigorous processing time. To verify that the event was free of epidemics, Hybribio medical staff began sampling at 4:00 a.m. and issued test results by 2:00 p.m. to ensure that the task was completed with quality and quantity."

During the period, Beijing Hybribio Medical Laboratory kept running 24 hours a day, progressively improving nucleic acid testing efficiency by introducing fully automated testing instruments and equipment, opening up the information chain, and optimizing the testing optimizing the testing process. All these measures accelerated the issue of test results in cases where there was a large volume of testing tasks, as well as safeguarding the health and safety of Olympic-related workers and the smooth and efficient execution of all aspects of the Winter Olympics. 

Warmhearted service and caring

"It gives me great honor to be able to offer my strength to the success of the Beijing Winter Paralympics." Cheng Zhipeng is overwhelmed with joy and emotion as he recalls his involvement in nucleic acid sampling for the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing for more than 60 days. He arrived in Beijing as a member of the Hybribio team on January 9 to take part in pre-show training and rehearsals, and then took on the responsibility of coordinating nucleic acid collection at the new National Exhibition location in Beijing's Shunyi District.  He was in charge of supervising the sample team, engaging with the official epidemic prevention team, scheduling and coordinating daily sampling arrangements, and delivering dedicated and attentive sampling services for the Olympic employees with sincerity and care in the closed-loop environment.

Despite the fact that Beijing's winter is bitterly cold and windy, Cheng Zhipeng from Guangzhou is never afraid of the cold, donning his protective suit the first thing in the morning to provide nucleic acid sampling service for the staff in need. He always leads the team to be on the front lines of nucleic acid sampling, with professionalism and enthusiasm, guarding for a safe and Covid-free event, and being the guardian behind the scenes for the lives and health of the Olympic Games employees.

Wen Yimin and Cai Jie from Chaozhou led another nucleic acid sampling team into the closed-loop stationing of the Petroleum Science and Technology Exchange Center in Changping District, Beijing. Wen Yimin, as the team leader, was acutely aware of the enormous duty she bore: "Early detection is the foundation and focal point of prevention. To safeguard everyone's safety, we must ensure that closed loop employees are tested every day!" She met and communicated with the resident team, the Public Security Bureau, the medical team, the hotel, the resident teachers of Tsinghua University, and other parties in charge to learn about the information of the volunteers' arrival and departure, as well as the workload of nucleic acid sampling during the closed loop, and finally developed a thorough and detailed work plan to ensure that a suitable nucleic acid sampling mechanism was developed for the region.

Dozens of days and nights of effort have brought all of the volunteers and employees from all around the country closer together. A letter written by a volunteer goes, "It is Hybribio teams’ efforts that have established a safe and strong epidemic defense for all volunteers, and the good health condition for all volunteers is unlikely to happen without your care and efforts; it is good to have you!" This makes Wen Yimin proud of the successful completion of this supporting work, and she said, "This experience may only come once in a lifetime, and I will remember this amazing experience forever!"

Lay small family aside for big family

Outside of the closed loop, Hybribio's Olympic-related nucleic acid security team kept working in their position and did not take a break during the Spring Festival. Zhang Zhenzhen, the manager of Hybribio's Beijing administration department, threw a party for team members on New Year's Eve with the theme of Walking with the Winter Olympics and Moving Into the Future Together. They gathered to make dumplings, enjoy food, and play games after concluding the day's nucleic acid testing job, and had a warm and unique Spring Festival!

This time, the professional and outstanding performance of Hybribio's Olympic-related nucleic acid security team was highly recognized by the Medical and Epidemic Prevention Working Group of the Beijing Operation and Security Command of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The pursuit of the country is the pursuit of Hybribio.
